The miniature depicts the three Magi, represented as kings, with the Virgin and Child in the stable, and offering gold, frankincense and myrrh. The oldest king (Caspar) kneels in front of Christ. The town of Bethlehem is seen in the distance. The border is decorated with a butterfly, birds and flowers.
