Red Ladder Theatre 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Red Ladder Theatre had their 30th anniversary celebrations in 1998. One of the major events was The Ninth Birmingham Theatre Conference, Better Red, Political Theatre in Britain 1968 - 1998, in partnership with the University of Birmingham, 27-29 March,1998. This box of material documents the planning, organisation and realisation of those celebrations.

It contains correspondence from 1997 and 1998; Conference planning material with the final programme and panellists' listings; promotional material; photographs taken at various events for the celebrations including the party at Milan's, Leeds; a group photograph which has the names of everybody on the back; Red Ladder personnel lists; a Conference assessment document written by Noel Greig; newspaper and journal articles about the Conference; comments and letters from past Red Ladder Theatre personnel and contacts in response to an advert placed in the Guardian newspaper to get in touch.
