    Manuscript volume containing notes on medical topics, possibly from lectures, in an anonymous hand. Thought to have been compiled from lectures in London and Leeds, covering the following topics:

    hernia [p.1]; the brain and nervous system [p.59]; arteries [p.81]; joints & ligaments [p.105]; the heart [p.116]; the eye [p.119]; the ear [p.138]; hernia [pp.153-155]; the brain [p.156]; joints [p.185]; section entitled "Dr Jordan's anatomy" [p.201]; the muscles [p.207]; venereal disease [p.234]; a case history of a patient with a popliteal aneurism, treated by Dr Logan at the Leeds General Infirmary in 1809 [pp.242-246].

    The sources of the notes include: - Sir Astley Paston Cooper, 1st Baronet (1768-1841), surgeon and anatomist [pp.1-56]; - Sir Charles Bell (1774-1842), surgeon and anatomist [pp.119-138, 153-163 and 165-184] - Mr Carlise [p.234-] - Maurice Logan (d. c.1840), surgeon at the Leeds General Infirmary [pp.242-246] - Also references to the practice of William Hey, FRS (1736-1819), [pp. 33-34, 52]

    Pencil pagination, with watermark on p.235 for 1809; date of 16 December written on p.207. 247 pages in total, pp.57-58, 198-200, 233 and 247 are blank.
