    Decoration: 3 (5-line) initials in blue and pink patterned in white on burnished gold grounds with flower infills, extended as a bar at sides and foot, with full borders with corner sprays of acanthus, flowers and berries, accompanied with hairline tendrils supporting ivyleaves and small flowers. 7 (3 to 5-line) initials for each office of the Virgin in gold on halved backgrounds in pink and blue patterned in white, extended as a bar on left, head and foot, with corner sprays with ivyleaves and small flowers. 2-line initials in gold on halved pink/blue grounds and alternating 1-line initials in gold and blue with black and red penwork, throughout.

    Written in textualis semi-quadrata. In two different hands and with two types of initial decoration.

    On long-term deposit from Ripon Cathedral.

    Principal contents: ff. 1r-6v Calendar (apparently supplemented for use in a Franciscan context in Italy); ff. 7r-28v Hours of the Virgin; ff. 29r-37v Penitential psalms and Litany; ff. 38r-56v Office of the dead; ff. 57r-64r (first leaf missing) Psalter of St Jerome.
