Luck stone and horse shoe hung on the wall near to the front door of a house at Coleby Hall, near Askrigg ( Wensleydale). Both objects were considered as protective and/or lucky charms, and at the time of photographing, the stone had never been removed from the house wall to the owner's knowledge.
