Description:
Farmer, Mr. Fothergill, hitching a draft horse to an empty wooden hay sledge, outside a stone barn in a field near Dent ( Dentdale). A loaded hay sledge which Mr. Fothergill has brought down from fields high up on the farm, stands to the left of the picture. This will be unloaded into the barn by Mrs. Fothergill (standing near the barn) whilst Mr. Fothergill loads up the next sledge with hay. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1105. With typed note.
