    Cowhorns used as spoons for administering medicine to cattle and horses, Leyburn ( Wensleydale). The horns were collected in Swaledale by Mr. Ronnie of Leyburn. Cattle received medicine through the broad base of the horn, whilst horses took it from the point (information supplied by Bob Hird of Langthwaite). Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0502. With ms. note and catalogue details in the hand of Werner Kissling.
