Two fisherman with haaf nets, fishing for salmon in the River Nith near Glencaple (Dumfries and Galloway). One man holds a salmon he has caught. In haaf net fishing, fishermen stand in line in the river holding the nets, and when the salmon swim into them they are clubbed with a mallet. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0393.
