Shepherd controlling the penning of sheep, herded down from the Apedale fells, on a stone bridge using wheeled iron hurdles. The sheep will be herded into a large stone sheep fold to await shearing. The sheep dogs, shepherd, and a boy have gathered the extensively spread flock.
