[Side 2] Amos describes occasion when he was very nearly seriously injured when repairing well, describes how horse-pumps from wells were used to supply barns with water during harvest, explains how to dig well and lists local pumps, reflects on introduction of mains water and compares fresh well water with local water supply purified using lime.
