[Side 2] Reginald discusses father's work and wages as farm worker and later at local flour mill, mentions mill recently burnt down, describes traditional water-powered millstones, gives local names for by-products of flour incl. 'middlings' [= coarser, medium-grade flour used as animal feed] and 'bran' [= coarsest portion of ground corn husk as animal feed], discusses local employment incl. village brewery and factory/foundry/garage work in Colchester, reflects on reduction in farm labour locally.
