[Side 1] George talks about sheep farming, discusses selling flock due to increasingly poor eyesight, recalls severe winters and struggling through snowdrifts to get to 'beasts' [= cattle] and horses. [Side 2] George recalls occasion when he and others had to dig channels through snow to deliver bread and supplies to isolated farms on Mendips, remembers icicles on telegraph wires and thick ice on road, compares farm work now and in past, discusses long days working with horses.
