[Side 1] William discusses father's haulage business incl. carrying stone and metal for road construction, talks about own journeys collecting and delivering fruit locally, recalls occasionally pitching tent on waggon overnight, talks about harvesting in past incl. mowing by hand, compares summers now and in past. [Side 2] William describes father's typical working day in past incl. wages, tells series of anecdotes about father's fondness for drink, recalls father objection to him buying motorbike in 1913, tells anecdote about driving motorbike into ditch and beuing rescued by tractor. Note: Recording date 1958-11 noted by ear, 1960-05-03 written on lacquer disc label.
