[Side 1] John recounts various jobs he has done, incl. waggoner, farm worker, miner, foundry worker, enlisted 1914 and served at Ypres and Somme, then 28 years on farms incl. own smallholding and milk delivery and started dealing in scrap metal. [Side 2] John describes a particularly good sale of a car and recalls a violent thunderstorm hitting his smallholding one evening and frightening his wife.
