Simple 19th century letterpress trade card of James Egan. Trader details in a variety of typefaces inside decorative border edging card. Manuscript mathematical calculations in pencil on reverse.
Transcription: JAMES EGAN, ARBUTUS WORKS, No. 10, Main Street, Killarney, PATRONISED BY HER MAJESTY AND THE PRINCE OF WALES. EGAN solicits the inspection of Tourists to his large and varied Stock of Arbutus Work, consisting of Loo, Oval, and Card Tables, Tea, Sofa, and Trio Tables, Cabinets, Davenports, Cheffioniers, Chess Boards, Work Boxes, Writing Desks, &c., all inlaid in the most superb manner, together with a choice selection of Cabinets, Book-stands, and a variety of Ornaments in Irish Bog Oak. All manufactured under his own supervision. Facsimiles of the magnificent Cabinet and Table made for the Queen on her visit to the Lakes, to be seen at the Depot. Tourists should not be advised by Touters or Hawkers on the streets or roads.
