An image of a lake surrounded by mountains and castles. In the forground 2 figures; one seated one standing, are surveying the view; to the left a group of three are in procession with the leader holding a lit torchlight. Three areas are labelled A-C with a legend at the bottom citing Lake Averno, the caue Sibyls and Apollo's temple.

The title and descriptive text is framed by two greek style pillars in the centre of the image and surrounded by various comical scenes which have been given an aphabetical letter. M & N are at the top, B, L & F are across the bottom.
