Sugawara no. 9: Michizane praying for a thunderstorm to destroy his enemies; below Umeo, who follows him into banishment, overcoming three sailors, armed with oars, who had attacked him. Here again the allusion is not at all clear, and does not appear to fit in with the ascertained facts of the story, in which Umeo kills the man (not a sailor) sent to murder Michizane.
