Description:
The border and initial are historiated with the scene of Adoration of the Magi. The three Magi, holding ornate gilt boxes, offer gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Virgin and Child, who are depicted within the initial, along with the ox and ass. The two oldest Magi kneel (one with possibly oriental features), while the youngest, with dark coloured skin, stands. The star of Bethlehem is seen above the stable roof.
