Description

Comprises accounts of various journeys undertaken by Joseph Wood including visits to Dodworth and Cudworth and a 'religious visit' with Thomas Shillitoe to the public houses of Barnsley. A piece of paper with '57' printed on it is pasted to the front cover. 'No. 45' has been written in ink on the front cover and '1816-17' in pencil. The cover comprises a contemporary paper with a grey landscape design on a blue background. '45' is written in ink on the inside front cover and 'proceed to No. 46' on the inside back cover. N.B. Notebook 56 is missing.
