Sheep shearers shearing Swaledale sheep with hand shears, and winding fleeces, Raisgill ( Langstrothdale). One shearer shears a sheep on a salving stool, a second winds a fleece on a salving stool, and two others shear sheep on a sheet laid out on the ground. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0755. With ms. notes, including a note in the hand of Werner Kissling, on shearing time and the use of salving stools.
