Description

Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet.

Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Stanley Ellis. There are three informants for this response book - Thomas Birds, Fred Birds and Herbert Toft. Their responses can be found in the following books: Thomas Birds - I, II, III, IV Fred Birds - VII, IX Herbert Toft - V, VI, VIII
