[Side 1] Horace talks about starting as bell-ringer in 1892, recalls arrival of new parson in 1884, describes dispute over payment for bell-ringers to celebrate parson's silver wedding on a Saturday in 1909. [Side 2] Horace describes how colleague resigned over dispute prompting meeting of church wardens, sidesman and Parochial Church Council which led to dismissal of three bell-ringers (incl. Horace) from parish church. Note: Recording date 1952-01-07 noted by ear, 1952-01-14 written on lacquer disc label.
